The Food Bank offers guests a selection of produce, bread, and usually some protein items. Guests may choose from a menu of staple foods and hygienic items, or a pre-made hamper of items that is ready to take home. Guests without kitchen access may choose a pre-made hamper of ready-to-eat items.

At the Broadmead location, we count up all the guests that are present at 3pm, and then throw that many numbers in a bag and mix them up. We then hand out those numbers (now in random order) to the guests that are there. Everyone after that first count gets the next number in sequence and so on right until the end at 5:30pm.

The Esquimalt location is the newest neighbourhood market to join our family of markets. At this location, after 8:30 a.m., tickets are distributed lottery style, randomly pulled from a bucket. This makes the shopping times more equitable and eliminates any congregating and squabbles about who is first. The initial group of 10 shoppers is asked to return at 10:50am and every other group of 10 is 15 minutes apart. Our last 'shop' is at 12:35 pm.

The University of Victoria location is conveniently located at the UVic Family Centre for students of all ages and stages.

The Oaklands Pantry is a by-donation, accessible, and sustainable food program. We offer produce, bread, dairy, eggs, and pre-prepared frozen meals, reducing food waste and increasing community food security.

This program is by appointment only. Please call 250-370-9101 ext. 1 to book an appointment.

Youth aged 14 to 22 are invited to drop in for a hot meal, laundry, clothing and self-care supplies, showers, fresh and non-perishable food, or just to hang out. We are pet friendly!

Self-select groceries available once a month for members. Visit the Kitchen during hours of operations to register for membership.

Our Saanich location features a cafeteria with a healthy menu and take-home dinners available for purchase, all at reasonable prices. Drop in for coffee, tea & goodies, and lunch. Alternatively, a variety of frozen take-out food is available; full meals are $7.

The Social Concern Office operates a food pantry that allows people to 'shop' for their own choices, including produce, dairy, eggs, bread, and non-perishables.

Food from the Food Rescue Program gets placed near the entrance to the Tsawout First Nation band office and made available to anyone who has need.
